Serves you well in the future

Scientific research and clinical trials have indicated that cellular therapies could be a potent solution to strengthen the body’s own repair and maintenance mechanism. With their fuss-free harvesting methods, easy isolation and expansion potential with little immunogenicity, MSCs could potentially be used in future regenerative medicine applications.

A second chance for you and your family

Bank your stem cells now to secure your opportunity for potential stem cell treatments in the future. If you have missed out on banking your child’s cord stem cells, this is another opportunity to store their stem cells and safeguard your family’s future.

What are MSCs?

Stem cells are pluripotent cells which can multiply without limit to replenish other cells. They can function as a repair system for your body, and are capable of maturing into specialised cells like muscle, blood and brain cells.

Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs), which can be extracted from the bone marrow, adipose (fat) or cord tissue, are able to regenerate structural and connective tissues by adapting into bone, cartilage, fat, heart, liver, muscle and nerve tissues.

In addition, MSCs are found to possess immunomodulatory functions which could potentially be used in the future to “correct” abnormal immune responses and treat illnesses like Parkinson’s Disease.

Choose the Best Stem Cell Harvesting Method for you

Stem cells can be harvested from three sources — the bone marrow, umbilical cord, and adipose (fat) tissue.

Umbilical Cord Harvesting

Stem cells are obtained from the umbilical cord blood shortly after baby’s birth.

Bone Marrow Harvesting

Stem cells are extracted from the marrow cavity of the hipbone. It’s a short process that takes approximately 30 minutes under local anaesthesia.

Adipose (fat) Extraction

Stem cells are harvested from fat tissues in the body via liposuction.

Why Bank Now?

Preserve your stem cells in your prime

Everyone who has a healthy body can store their stem cells, but medical evidence shows that stem cells harvested from people at a younger age are more likely to produce better treatment outcomes. This is because younger people produce more high quality stem cells that are more likely to survive longer and expand into a larger variety of cell types. Bank your stem cells today to preserve them in their prime.

As stem cells age, they lose the ability to differentiate into other cell types and increase the likelihood of contamination by viruses, diseases, toxins and mutations.

Here’s how you can embark on Stem Cell Banking with Stem Med

  • Contact us or attend our talks and learn more about Stem Med’s services.
  • Consult with our medical director to discover the different stem cell harvesting methods, and have all your medical questions answered.
  • Arrange for health screening before the stem cell harvesting procedure.
  • Your appointed doctor will proceed to harvest your stem cells either by bone marrow or adipose (fat) extraction — as advised by our medical director.
  • Stem Med personnel will transport the harvested cells back to Stem Med Cellular Laboratory for processing.
  • Processing and extraction of stem cells is then carried out in an ISO Class 5 clean room under stringent and controlled conditions.
  • Your stem cells will be placed in cryo bags that are systematically frozen one degree celsius at a time, and stored in vapour phase liquid nitrogen solution.
  • A report on the quantity and viability of the stem cells that have been successfully banked with Stem Med will be sent to you for your reference.
